As bad as my eyesight is getting as I get older, at least I can still actually see.
I was reading this article on the BBC web site today and it made me realize just how lucky I am, and how much I take my sight for granted. I’d never really thought about the problems a sightless person would have using a touch screen device until I read this.
And whilst that article covers the input problem, it does not really address the output problem, although it seems there are already a good many braille readers out there that can be used with iPhones and iPads. Even so, I cannot even begin to imagine how hard it must be to use touch screen devices when you cannot see.
